Here's my new article for the IJA ezine:
http://ezine.juggle.org/2013/12/27/five-
person-feasts-and-stars/
It's on five person patterns, mostly stood still.
There's an exciting five person countdown
feast.

The pattern you call the "Selfless three count feast star" (rather a
long name!) is a pattern I invented back in the 90's.

I originally called it the "Selfless Clock" and did it in a 1-count
(Clock was my original term for a Feast, done clockwise). I sometimes
call it a "Complete 3-Count Star" or "Complete 1-Count Star",
depending on the rhythm. I like the 1-count version, but it
definitely takes some work.

I often seem to either rediscover patterns you created many moons ago, or
occasionally build upon them, coming up with new variations. I think the
countdown pattern is a new idea, I also don't imagine it's very easy. At the
moment I'm at a week long passing festival, so I might get a chance to try it
here. I'll let you know how we get on.
There was a time a while ago when I found it very difficult to think of five
person patterns. These days there are a lot of five person takeout patterns as
well as patterns like these.
I'm sure you have lots of other stuff too!
