How long did it take for you to learn this trick? I've read plenty of tips, watched tutorials, and have put in hours of practice these past few days trying to get the motions correct. From starting with two in my dominate hand, I throw them up and over in succession, feed the the remaining ball over, and I just stop. I can't throw the next ball. Is it mental? My arms are sore from practicing too much and I wanted to hear that "oh don't worry, it took me a month to learn that simple trick".

I don't remember exactly how lond did it take, I guess few hours.
Try adding shower in cascade pattern. If you know siteswaps, do practice 501, 441, 531.

Don't try to catch. Throw all three at shower speed in the direction of
the catching hand. Also try starting with two in the catching hand.
Step one however is to take several days off allowing your mind to
continue to process what you have learned.

Try starting with two in your non-dominant hand and throwing from your dominant hand and passing with your non dominant hand at the same time:synch shower, or (4x,2x) as opposed to 51.

Thanks guys.

I took a while off of practicing at all, Thanksgiving came around and I started back up. I still couldn't do it for a few days. Last night though, (I'm right handed) I started with two in my left hand and did my first 3 throws and 3 catches of the shower. I can vamp it from right hand to left synchronously and do the trick about 8 times. I can't vamp from left to right though, or do it async.

I'm still happy and will be practicing 6 throws and 6 catches today. The trick looks so cool.
