Hey there people,

In this video I've attempted a sort of object manipulation style of hooping more akin to juggling and club swinging. I'd be interested in your thoughts. Still experimental at the moment. Needs a good year of polish but I think it has some interesting concepts based around entirely off-body hooping that I haven't seen much before.

New style of hoop manipulation or just juggling with oversized rings? Discuss.

I think it shows real potential, (can you hear the but coming?) it needs
to be unedited to show the flow from one trick to the next to give
constructive criticism.

The character does not work for me. It is an artsy piece, it needs an
artist's (aka professional) looking costume or a goofier presentation.

Free advise is usually worth what it costs. ;-)

But well thought-out criticism is far more valuable than empty praise.

Thanks for your thoughts. It's all at the experimental stage and would take a heck of a lot more work to get it to the stage where I could put it all into one flowing performance. I went for the demonstrate as many different tricks as I can option with some nuggets of flow because that's where I'm at. To be completely honest the character was far more of an after-thought and would certainly need developing.

I'd say free videos are usually worth what they cost but how can you put a price on five minutes of your life?

:) xx

Thanks for sharing, I have a thing with a giant Japanese fan that got to
about the same point before it died a natural death. Laziness in some
instances is a good thing - I can outwork most people at physical labor
because I am lazy and always looking (and finding) an easier way to do
things. Sadly it does not help me improve in the fan manipulation. If
you get any further with it, please re-post.
